Eco Living: An inside view of TR Trades
Over the years we have continually been doing our part to sustain environmentally friendly practices throughout our
organization, such as:

Scheduling driver deliveries to minimize carbon emissions

Using in house intranets to reduce paper waste and increase efficiency

Using environmentally friendly soap in our washrooms

Using only 100% recycled paper towels and toilet paper
-
Using low-watt fluorescent lighting
-
Actively seeking new ways to promote sustainable living through our organization
The 3 R`s are put to use at TR Trades!
- Reducing our emissions by driving small, gas efficient vehicle’s for pickups & deliveries
- Reducing electricity use by turning off lights, monitors & machines at night
- Reusing dishes in our lunch rooms. No paper plate required!
- Reusing filters in our air conditioner by washing them out
- Recycling all paper and cardboard to Urban Impact. Over 842 cubic yards in 2007 alone! That is enough to fill 421 full sized pickup trucks!
- Recycling all bottles and cans
- Recycling all ink & toner cartridge from our small & large format printers
- Recycling all our used computers to Free Geek, an Ethical Community Sponsored Organization
- Recycling all our plastics, including plastic bags
TR Eco Goals for 2010
