ARCHIVING SERVICES

TR Trades recognizes that there is a value for our customers to have an ongoing system for data management. We have added a planroom service to allow for customer web-based access to their archives. We have also upgraded our back-up servers  to offer a sophisticated on-site and off-site “continuous protection” system.

CAD Department: TR Trades has a policy to automatically archive* all digital CAD jobs that come into the shop, unless directed to do otherwise. If you wish to have any analog photocopy jobs retained in our archive system, you must request the job to be "scanned to archive." Various “permit” and “construction” issues can be accessed and quickly re-printed from an archive base, or can be posted to eProject, our web-based planroom, for on-line project based collaboration, viewing and ordering.

Graphics Department: TR Trades has a policy to automatically archive* all color graphics jobs that come into the shop, unless directed to do otherwise. File sizes in the color graphics department are typically much larger, therefore the data management area may require more time to retrieve these jobs for re-printing.

Colour Scanning Department: Typically, when a colour scan is done, it is saved to a permanent archive* automatically, unless directed to do otherwise. Colour scan file sizes are usually too large for internet transfer, so a CD/DVD burn accompanies most orders. If you need a sampled down version of your full size scan, please request this and the scanning operator will include this in your order, and email it to you, or post it for you to our FTP site.

* Although we store all files have at TR Trades, we strongly suggest you always maintain a current
   complete backup copy of all your data on your computer system (s).
